About this variety

Gobindobhog is Bengal's most treasured aromatic rice — a short-grain, pearly white variety grown for more than 300 years in the Damodar river basin. Its sweet, buttery flavour and jasmine-like aroma (from the natural compound 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline) make it the rice of festivals, temples and celebration.

In 2017 Gobindobhog earned a Geographical Indication tag (GI No. 531), registered to Purba Bardhaman — the very district Adinath calls home. Being rooted here means we source it at its authentic best: a genuine, premium aromatic that sets us apart in both home and export markets.

Payesh & desserts

Khichuri & bhog

Aromatic pulao

A short-grain alternative that fills the kitchen with fragrance.
